Homeland: Phantom Pain by Glenn Gersunabridged Audible audiobook;
Emmy Award-winner Damian Lewis, who stars as Former Congressman and U.S. Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody in the hit series Homeland, narrates this original Homeland story of Brodys journey into exile. Picking up at the end of Season 2 after he has parted from Carrie at the border, Brody relates, in the form of a letter to Carrie, his desperate escape by sea and land as the worlds most-hunted fugitive. Guided off the grid by a former CIA analyst and a battle-scarred French mercenary, he stays in the shadows...both physically and emotionally. But wherever he goes and whoever he meets, he cannot stop thinking about Carrie.
This powerful audio-only story is the perfect complement to your Season 3 viewing, and a great way for current and new fans to get to know what drives one of the most fascinating characters on television.

Homeland - Meet Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) - Season 1
Homeland season six rolled to a close last night 9 April and the series' already-confirmed seventh run is already being teased. In a post-season interview, showrunner Alex Gansa spoke to Deadline , not only about the fatal events which rocked the finale , but also a possible return for Damian Lewis' character Nicholas Brody. It does seem, however, that there are no set plans with Gansa keen to kee Carrie's story propelling forwards.

By Dominic Patten. However, with Homeland back on U. Murray Abraham. Under the umbrella of all that, Gansa chatted with me about Emmy hopes for Friend, revamping the series for the Presidency of Donald Trump, and what was deliberately left out of Season 6. That was the first dramatic scene of this season, Carrie and Quinn together in that VA hospital. In large part, that has functioned as the emotional center of Season 6. These people have been conspiring to first persuade a President-elect to change her mind about her policies, and then try to coerce her to change her mind about her policies.
And while most of us have been able to move on to Bobby Axelrod while carrying Nicholas Brody in our hearts, a world without Brody still hurts. He is, by far, my all-time favorite fictional character. Coming soon on Fan Fun! I do, too. I know all about it, because I lived it. Walking toward the crane and having the noose around my neck and looking out.
Following his rescue and return home, Brody is hailed as a war hero and promoted to gunnery sergeant.

I knew they had decided to kill Brody unequivocally at the [season 3] premiere in D. We were in a basement bar at the Hay-Adams hotel. I think they did a really good job with it. I knew he had become a popular character so I wanted him served well. I wanted him to go out with a bang. I wanted him to have a grand finale.
He played U. As a child, Lewis made several visits to the U. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in , after which he served as a stage actor for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Lewis once worked as a telemarketer selling car alarms, a job he detested. He appeared in Jonathan Kent 's production of Hamlet , playing Laertes. This production was seen by Steven Spielberg , who later cast Lewis as Richard Winters in Band of Brothers , the first role of several that required him to have a credible American accent. The character is American but when possessed he takes on a British accent.
