T.I.M.E. - Spoken Word Poetry - Poem by Élie Gagné
Short Love Poems
Unique, handpicked collection of short poems about life, love, and friendship that have, literally, changed my life, because they have changed the way I looked at and listened to the world. Since the dawn of civilization, artists of all forms have sought to express the essence of the human condition and the full range of human experience. Poetry has been one of the most common forms of this expression from the ancients until now. These words have an ability to capture the abstract emotions and concrete experiences that have been part of our humanity throughout the ages. Turning to the words of poems can help us to clarify and understand our own experiences better by connecting us to those others who have sought to do the same. I would like to be the air that inhabits you for a moment only.
A love poem will not always be long and flowery.

Passing Time - Poem by Maya Angelou
Simple Love Poems - This Says It All
A couple of years ago, I wrote a poem about poetry and the importance it has in our world, and in that poem, I expressed the idea that poetry is a language in itself. Poetry is the language of so many different facets of the human experience, from hope and healing to death and grief, and from resistance and revolution to self-love and romantic love. As some of you may or may not know, I love love. So much so, in fact, that I wrote a collection of poetry titled DROPKICKromance which focuses on two of the most significant relationships in my life, the second of the two being my relationship with my wife and fellow poet, Amanda Lovelace. No list of love poems would be complete without mention of Lang Leav. While love can and does die, true love is forever. Caitlyn Siehl is one poet who never ceases to amaze me.
Are you looking for some poems about time? The past is absolute hate; The future is just a bit of bait; Your cone of timidity escapes All possible contemporaneity. Raw desire passes through A long physical causal chain; Yeah, the past is free of the future; But the future is not free of the past. When the observer crosses the line, The observed falls into time; The future is a function of your destiny; What you did to me was as certain as fate. There was a time before time When there was no time at all, Not a single number, not a single digit, We were one, and we were love—. This poem takes some time as its theme.
